Volunteers have transferable skills - and rights!

A brand new approach to training for those who volunteer or manage volunteers!

 

We know that many volunteers and those who manage volunteers attend the training courses profiled throughout this site. And indeed one of our lead trainers is a volunteer and know what it is like to be managed as one!

 

His practical "hands on experience" coupled with our fresh new model of "shadow working" contrasts very sharply with dry and dusty academic texts that do not always match reality.

 

The word "volunteer" is fast becoming rather old fashioned and with this in mind:-

• Our course takes you through the new concept of a "shadow worker" with clarity about the points of convergence and divergence with employment rights and laws.
• And we focus on the emerging new welfare to work provisions which have the potential to both enhance and blur these distinctions.
